After the wedding...

Well, it has been 4 days since the wedding and Michael and I are still recovering. We are currently vegging out in our hotel in Palmas del Mar, after driving from Quebradillas, to Camuy, to Arecibo, through Utuado to Adjuntas down to Ponce and up to Humacao through the coast of Guayama, Yabucoa etc. Look it up if you must, it was a long and winding road. A big ass truck almost killed us on a country, mountain road near Adjuntas. It was very very scary! We are planning on going to the rain forest tomorrow, if we survive the night because we both feel sick.

We wanted to send a brief email to thank everyone who came to the wedding and to all of those who helped make it happen. We realize we have great friends and family and without you none of it would have been possible. Our parents rock. Thanks to my Mami and Papi for all the hard work and for graciously hosting the gringos... Thanks to Mom and Dad for being patient and gracious and for surviving a gay pride weekend in a tiny little town in Puerto Rico. The image of Carmen Sanchez and Ann Davis dancing around the wedding cake will stay with us forever.

Gus and Jecksan are more than Best men. They complemented each other so well. Gus was amazing at the pre wedding stuff, and Jecksan kept the wedding and post wedding together. How the man could remember all the cameras, the movie posters, the flowers and all after all he had to drink is beyond me. Jecksan says he was surprised I picked him. After all was said and done no one was surprised. Jecksan you are the best. And Gus, what can we say? He even remembered to mention Boo Boo in his speech!

One amazing thing Gus did, he brought Nisha! Nisha is the best surrogate wife Michael could have. She kept it together even when my bitchy sister in law gave her attitude. We love you Nisha! You went above and beyond...

MVP of the la boda/the wedding must go to Kano. Kano: you were amazing. In hindsight Michael and I realized you were officiant, dj, bartender, security guard, chofer, videographer and many many more. Good looking out bro'!
