Clothing

My dear friend Janice suggested in a comment I told you all about how windy it is at the Light House. ( Gracias Janice!) So, it's windy. Very Windy. The location of this place it on the south west tip of the island and it is surrounded by ocean. The cliffs are a 200 ft drop, so- you get the idea. I suggest you wear something comfortable for the hot weather and humidity, first of all. Secondly I think you should consider shoes that are pretty comfortable. The area is grassy and rocky. I will do my best to get you all up the hill in a vehicle, but just in case I can't, it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear something comfortable to walk in. Also, there will be lots of dancing at the reception so definitely wear shoes you can dance in.

Women, it is very windy. Keep that in mind when picking a dress. Same goes for hair. We will make the ceremony short but sweet, but you might want to put on a hat for the sun, or pull your hair back for the ceremony, even if you let it loose for the reception. The ceremony is close to the sunset so it should not be to bad, but for you fair ones out there... the Caribbean sun is no joke!

My dear friend Jonathan got his ticket. Poor brit is going to melt in the Caribbean!

Much love...

On our way!

Hello everybody!

Michael and I have purchased out tickets, we are on our way! I will be in Puerto Rico on June 3rd, Michael will arrive June 9th and we will stay until the 20th as we are planning a short honeymoon on the island as well. Our tickets were $264 round trip each. Which is probably the least I have payed for June in forever.

Our invitations are getting finished and I hope to send those out very soon so you should be getting one before the month is over. I want to encourage those of you who know you are going for sure to book your flights soon before tickets go up. Also, please refer to the previous blog post on hotel reservations. Boqueron has limited hotel rooms and with the parade happening that same weekend, you could easily end up without a room. Please remember, this is not Miami, there are NOT many hotels to choose from. I have rooms set aside for my guests already, but they will not hold them forever so you should act soon.

If you are in Puerto Rico and were thinking of staying in the hotel that night there is a two night minimum stay so keep that in mind. Please call me or Michael if you have any questions.
